A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder is a Tony Award-winning musical comedy with a book by Robert L. Freedman, music by Steven Lutvak, and lyrics by both Freedman and Lutvak, based on the novel “Israel Rank” by Roy Horniman. The show follows Monty Navarro, who discovers he’s in line to inherit a dukedom and decides to murder his way up the line of succession, all while juggling two women and trying to avoid jail.It’s known for its witty dialogue, quick costume changes (as one actor plays all eight doomed relatives), and macabre humor.
