“Brave in the Attempt: Celebrating 50 Years of Special Olympics Oregon” Traveling Exhibit at North Bend Public Library

The North Bend Public Library is thrilled to host “Brave in the Attempt: Celebrating 50 years of Special Olympics Oregon,” a traveling exhibit from the Oregon Historical Society, from August 3-28, 2026.

Through photographs, stories, and historical materials, the exhibit explores the remarkable impact of Special Olympics Oregon on athletes, families, and communities across the state over the past five decades. Visitors will learn how the organization has empowered individuals with intellectual disabilities through sports, education, leadership opportunities, and health programs.
