“My Octopus Teacher” Outdoor Movie at 3rd and Central in Downtown Coos Bay

The Coos Watershed Association and City of Coos Bay invite you to the final movie in the parking lot at 3^rd and Central in downtown Coos Bay, which filters stormwater runoff and helps keep pollution out of the bay.

Join the fun on Friday, September 26 for My Octopus Teacher, a story about a filmmaker who forges an unusual friendship with an octopus living in a South African kelp forest. We will be teaming up with Oregon Kelp Alliance, Charleston Marine Life Center, and South Slough Reserve to bring you an evening of marine magic! Make sure you arrive between 6:30 and 7 to mingle with these organizations, grab some free snacks (pizza, popcorn, and cookies), check out the urchin touch tank, and catch a short presentation about our local kelp forests by our special guests from the Oregon Kelp Alliance.

Important details:

• Bring layers, blankets, chairs, snacks, etc. – whatever you need to get cozy
• This event is family-friendly and kid-friendly (please leave dogs at home)
