Charley Brock, deputy mayor of New York City, has just shot himself – and right before a dinner party. It’s only a flesh wound, but Brock’s embarrassment sets off a chain of events that causes four couples a severe case of comedy.

The first guests to arrive that evening are lawyers Ken Gorman and his wife Chris; they scramble to hash out “the story” before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and miscommunications mount, the evening spins off into classic Neil Simon hilarity. In the end, all the guests are complicit in a cover-up – and they all wonder how they got into this crazy mess.

Lisa Crew, former Myrtle Point High School English and drama teacher, directs this production, which stars local actors Tom Holt, Bex Truka, John Beane, and Nicole Freim, with supporting roles played by locals Talisman Slatick, Michele Moore, Melissa Reeves, Tim Novotny, Kris Yearsley, Maxen Pouncey, and Rebecca Pouncey.

Little Theatre on the Bay (LTOB) formed in 1947 and is the second-oldest, continuously-operating performing arts group in Oregon. As volunteer organization and 501(c)3 nonprofit, LTOB owns and operates the historic Liberty Theatre in North Bend.
