Three-Week Pastel Class

Pastels are one of Kassy’s favorite mediums. She started working in pastels 35 years ago, when Bozo the Clown hired her to do a portrait of him, in California. Her love for the medium was refreshed when she was able to take a pastel class from Mark Braught ( the original illustrator for Harry Potter) at Hollins University. Pastels are now one of her three favorite mediums that she uses for children’s book illustration. In this pastel class you will create art using the techniques she uses to create her award wining pictures. She will walk you through the process of creating a picture and teach you some tricks of the medium. All materials for the class will be included.

Tuition is $150; register here: https://oregoncoastschoolofart.org/classes/pastel-class/
