The Dolphin Playhouse invites you to experience a unique showcase of four powerful one-act plays. This production brings together a diverse range of stories—a chilling mystery, poignant dramas, and explosive comedy—offering a complete theatrical journey in a single evening.
● TRIFLES by Susan Glaspell (Dir. Jhana Brown): A chilling exploration of how two women—Mrs. Hale (Maia Tao Retelska) and Mrs. Peters (Karlee Cotrell) —piece together a murder motive through “trifles” the men (Jacob Pewitt Yancey, Richard Nebens, Glenn Rogie) are too blind to see.
● DUMPSTER DAN by Christopher Wall (Dir. Danny Stoddard): A poignant look at the impact of sudden death, following a father (Adam Barber) and son (Rhys Pembroke) navigating a world of loss and memory in the wake of devastating loss.
● THE BOOR by Anton Chekhov (Dir. Kenzo I. Masuda): This fast-paced comedic farce follows a boorish landowner (John Beane) and a stubborn widow (Jane Suppes) locked in a hilarious battle of wills that takes an unexpected romantic turn.
● MARIPOSA/BUTTERFLY by Sandra F. Asher & José Casas (Dir. Amber Nicole): Neighbors (Jasmine Azure and Ailya Rose) find that much more divides them than just their garden fence—until an enchanting butterfly forces a moment of shared wonder.
